Theme song!
Even though Grit is set in a distant dystopian future, it doesn’t hurt to connect some nuances to the present. For example, your team’s theme song. This should be played (at full volume) while placing players on the board. The same song should be played (at full volume) from the speaker every time your team scores a goal. I might consider making this an official rule. So if your team doesn’t have a song, you’re automatically ruled to lose…
The theme song for my Gork team, Helsinki Punakone, (Helsinki Red Machine) is Trio Mocoto’s tremendous masterpiece from 1977 “Não Adianta”. (The start of the song…no need to play the whole song…)
All of us game developers have a strong background in Role Playing Games. We strongly recommend creating a loving relationship with your team and your favorite players. A theme song is one way to strengthen the attachment to your gladiators on the ice.
Rock on!
